Veedersburg, Ind. - Mrs. Ada L. Douglas, 79, died at 10 a.m. yesterday (April 9, 1967) at the home of a son, Thomas Douglas, here. She had been ill several months. Born Feb. 3, 1888 in Shawnee Township, she was the daughter of Thomas W. and Ida Mae Miller cox. She was married to Homer L. Douglas Feb. 21, 1911, and he died in October, 1942. Surviving in addition to the son, Thomas, are another son, Roy L. of Griffith; a daughter Mrs. Lola Mae Barnes of Conneaut, Ohio,; 12 grandchildren; a brother Russell of Williamsport; a sister, Mrs. Glenna Waldron of Covington. She was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers, two sons and a daughter. The body is at the Parham Funeral Home and friends may call from 7-9 tonight. Services will be held there at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Omar Walters officiating. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Douglas was born Feb. 3, 1888, in Shawnee Township, a daughter of Thomas W. and Ida May Miller cox. She married Homer L. Douglas Feb 21, 1911. He died Oct 8, 1942. Surviving are two sons, Ray of Griffith, Ind., and Thomas; a daughter , Mrs. Lola May Barnes of Conneaut, Ohio; a brother, Russell of Williamsport, a sister, Mrs. Glenna Woldron of Covington and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers, two sons and a daughter. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Parham Funeral Home here with Rev. Omar Walters officiating. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
